Information for Interns
UNEP/MAP offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled in an university program. Please find below information for individuals considering working with UNEP/MAP as an Intern.

Currently UNEP/MAP is seeking Interns for the following areas:

Intern for the EcAp Project

Webmaster

• Data Entry Assistant

• General Office Assistants

Language Requirements
UNEP/MAP has two working languages, English and French.

Type of Assignments
Please refer to the attached Terms of Reference.

Medical and Health
UNEP/MAP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents/or illness incurred during an internship. The intern will be asked to sign a waiver indicating that he/she will bear all costs arising from accidents and /or illness incurred during the internship.  All interns will be required to under go a medical examination before starting an internship.
A certificate of fitness to under go an internship, duly signed and stamped by a qualified examining physician is required to be submitted before starting an internship. 

Conditions of Internship
Interns receive no remuneration.  Costs of travel and accommodation, living expenses included, are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Interns are solely responsible for obtaining the necessary visas and arranging their travel to their duty station.

Commencement
Interns can begin their internship only after they have agreed to the terms of reference and the conditions of the Internship Programme. Acceptance for internship is in no way tied to recruitment and interns are not eligible for employment during the period of the internship and the six months following the end of the internship.

Certificate of Attendance
Upon completion of the Internship Programme, the candidate will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
